For two decades, The Garage served as the centerpiece of the live music scene in downtown Winston-Salem. Under the visionary guidance of Richard Emmett and eventually Tucker Tharpe, the venue was a spirited blend of personality, creativity, grit, and atmosphere. It welcomed those from all walks, showcased a variety of live talent, and anchored the downtown entertainment district in a time when the city was just re- discovering its potential. For all of us who carry fond memories of The Garage, the legend lives on.

At Tucker’s request (and in the spirit of the venue’s collaborations with FemFest), a portion of proceeds from your purchase will be donated to Family Services to help provide counseling and shelter resources for victims of domestic violence.
